Bondage belts are good for keeping my pesky hands out of the way while serving Sir… I’m sure you’ve seen me wearing this belt from the Discerning Specialist Gear Store so I figured I’d tell you guys more about it since I love it so much.
As with all of my Discerning Specialist gear, it was easy to fall in love as soon as I opened the box. It’s black and gold and you can see how well made it is just by looking at it. When I picked it up, I was pleasantly surprised at how much it weighs. The thickness of the leather and hardware give it a nice beefy weight and makes it feel very bondage-y and serious. (Tooooootally made me super wet before I even tried it on, hehe)
I love the velcro feature of the DS gear because it prevents the ends of the belt from slipping during play, and makes it easier to buckle since it stays in place. (The velcro doesn’t itch or make a difference during wear in terms of how it feels. I was worried it would, but it doesn’t.)
The padding on the inside is just enough to make it comfortable but not too much to take away from the serious bondage feeling. I really like the way it comes up over the edges (just like my cuffs and collars) so it’s super comfy if I’m moving around and bending.
The width of the belt is perfect! I have a short waist, so the 3.5 inch width makes it sit right in that sweet spot between my ribs and my hip bones. The thick leather gives me a nice restricted feeling, that I think any sub would love. It even sits on my waist at just the right height for me to be able to wear my pussy shock belt (the plug harness with the strap Sir modded to add the shock unit), giving Sir another option to keep me in line.
There are 5 d-rings so, that means there are plenty of ways for Sir restrain me when he’s bossing me around. There’s one in front, 2 directly on my sides, and 2 more a little further back. All the hardware is thick brass, and the big rivets compliment the size of the d-rings and nicely.
D-rings have 1.25” slots- which is a great size - not too rowdy, but big/thick enough to feel very serious. If the hardware were any bigger, I think it could be a problem because it wouldn’t keep my hands as close to my sides, and if it were smaller it would take away from the look and feel. So, the size is perfect.
Speaking of hardware, I love the brass strap keepers! I like strap keepers in general because they make everything look nice, and neat (which is super important for a classy kitty). I can never figure out why so much BDSM gear seems to be missing them.
I SUUUUPER love that it’s impossible for me to lose these strap keepers because they are attached to the belt, and having them attached gives it a more fancy look that I’ve never seen with any other BDSM gear. I have double strap keepers on my collar, too. :) If brass strap keepers are a fetish- i have it!
A little bit about the functionality, and how well it keep my hands away from my greedy pussy- When my hands are cuffed to the second set of d rings (the ones in the back) I can’t get near my pussy without a lot of uncomfortable contortion so it does a good job of keeping me my hands away thus keeping me on task. It passes the pussy touching test with the back rings.
That being said, I noticed it’s possible for me to reach and unlock the belt in the back when using those rings. Adding a padlock to the belt or adding mitts would easily fix this. We could also just put the buckle in the front, but I haven’t tried this yet. In general, I’m not the kind of sub thats gonna start taking gear off of myself during play so this isn’t an issue.
When hands are cuffed to the set of rings right on my sides, I can wiggle enough to reach down and touch my pussy (if I do some contorting), but that’s not a deal breaker. Sir can always add my chastity belt and/or use my bicep cuffs and a strap the pull my elbows together behind me and shorten my range of motion. Having to add a little more gear is never a bad thing…as far as I’m concerned, the more complicated the setup, the better!
My handcuffs don’t fit through the front ring, so we added one of my nifty little bull rings and that does the trick. :) It’s suuuuper pretty to look at, too! Due to the size of the bull ring it adds enough length for me to be able to reach my pussy when handcuffed like that, so I def need my chastity belt cause I can’t be trusted, hehe. The bull ring also makes a good handle to pull me around with.
Preventing pussy touching is just our particular style of play, so thats why I extensively tested that feature. Just because I can reach my pussy when using certain rings doesn’t make the belt less functional and isn’t a bad thing- is just an observation to report on. I’m sure we will find plenty of additional uses for all the rings. They’re great for just general restraining, and are very secure.
So overall, this belt is a great addition to my growing pile of discerning specialist gear. I would recommend it to anyone thats thinking about getting a bondage belt. Its better quality than any belt I’ve seen so far and you can feel all the love and thoughtfulness thats been put into the design. You wont be disappointed, and your slut wont be running away.
